The Café from Heaven, Now In Los Angeles

Dear Friends, Hello!

This week I want to shout out an amazing L.A.-based business that I had the absolute pleasure of visiting on several occasions.

Urth Caffé is positively the best European-style café any city could ever wish for, so sit down, grab a cup of their amazing coffee and let’s get into the facts.

I’ll start by telling you all about their coffee, tea, and baked goods. They have fully organic and heirloom coffees with gorgeous flavor and a bevy of complex notes. It’s good enough that you don’t really need creamer or sugar because you may miss out on some of the more subtle nutty notes.

As for the teas, they are all hand-picked and carefully crafted, and you can tell. Every drink you find here goes well and above what many other big box cafes have available and I really felt like I was getting a genuine product from a true artisan café. The baked goods are heavenly! Created by none other than an Italian-born and raised Master Baker, Davide Giova! Fluffy, soft and perfectly sweet all come to mind.

Urth Caffé really serves up on the tea and cakes commonly served across the pond and brings that whole vibe right to America.

I cannot talk about this restaurant without mentioning the owners. I talked to Shallom and Jilla Berkman on several occasions. They are lovely to talk to, super courteous and incredibly inviting, all things that pushed the cozy feeling even further. I assume that the wonders this Café serves up has no small part related to their wonderful attitudes.

If you find yourself in Southern California, Las Vegas, Japan, Saudi Arabia and Dubai and want the finest cup of coffee, tea or sweet treat, by all means, then go to Urth Caffé. You will not be happier.

Our Way of Saying Thanks!

We decided to start a new section of our newsletter made entirely with the purpose of highlighting some of our favorite businesses we have crossed paths with. There are so many wonderful business owners that we have the pleasure of interacting with, and we felt that it was time to start shouting them out!

The owner is Canyon Lycklama, a young entrepreneur who really showed his expertise when we had him work on our own grill. Lawyer Making a Name for Himself Through Social Media

Anthony Barbuto, an American lawyer of Italian descent, is not your typical American lawyer.  A legal industry pioneer in social media, Anthony has accumulated over 2.3 million fans between TikTok (@TheLawyer), and Facebook and Instagram (@ItalianEnthusiast).

Anthony Barbuto, founder of the general practice, Barbuto Law Firm, P.A., practices law predominantly in Palm Beach County, Florida, although he is also licensed to practice law in California and New Jersey.

Anthony grew up in New Jersey, but as a third-generation Italian American, most of his Italian heritage had been lost.  What he believed to be “Italian culture” in his youth, he later discovered was only a fiction – a mere fragment of Italian customs that had been butchered over three generations of Americanization.

It was only when Anthony began traveling to Italy on a regular basis as an adult when he understood that the Italian culture he had known growing up, was not authentic.  This fact, coupled with Anthony’s enthusiasm to study authentic Italian culture, inspired him to start his blog at www.ItalianEnthusiast.com in 2016, and social media channels on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube (@ItalianEnthusiast).  Through his Italian Enthusiasm, Anthony learned Italian as an adult, met his wife in Italy, spends over 2 months per year in Italy, and is raising his small children (Leonardo and Sofia) with authentic Italian culture.

In 2018, however, Anthony opened an account with TikTok making short videos.  As the very first lawyer on TikTok, Anthony not only creates Italian-themed videos, but most of Anthony’s TikTok videos are filmed at his law firm, portraying Anthony as a lawyer, yet having a fun, wholesome and human side.  This unique image of a lawyer quickly became a success on TikTok, gaining the attention on millions of people worldwide and inspiring students to pursue a career in the legal profession.

Through Anthony’s evolution in social media, he also ventured to produce the first lawyer rap song, titled The Lawyer Anthem, as well as introduce his wife and children in his YouTube family vlog titled The Barbuto Family.  Anthony’s presence on social media continues, with a recent, comedic TikTok video just last month amassing over 40 million views between his TikTok channel and other channels.

Through his work on social media, Anthony Barbuto is setting himself apart from the rest of the legal community by sharing his passions with the world and connecting like-minded people together, whether through enthusiasm for Italian culture or comedy.

MEET OKSANA: From Polo Lounge Entertainer to CEO and Entrepreneur

Oksana Kolesnikova got her start in Beverly Hills playing piano at the Polo Lounge. Now, she is the CEO and Founder of three successful companies making a difference in children’s lives through their academic enrichment programming.

Oksana Kolesnikova is becoming a household name across Southern California and beyond.  Those who have watched her rise up in Beverly Hills knew all along this was going to happen. From getting her start as a pianist at the Polo Lounge to now serving as the Founder and CEO of three successful companies, Oksana is setting herself up for even bigger moves in the near future. Oksana moved to Beverly Hills from Florida in 2006 to serve as the pianist at The Polo Lounge, the legendary 5-star restaurant and bar in The Beverly Hills Hotel, after spending parts of 2003 and 2004 traveling the world entertaining US troops stationed in Europe and Asia; performing for the United Nations, with appearances on PBS and five consecutive years at the Home Shopping Network.

Her position at The Polo Lounge provided her the opportunity to expand her artistic career; Oksana booked private parties, galas, and private lessons for both adults and children in the greater Los Angeles area. It was during this time at the Polo Lounge that Oksana realized her true passion in life: educating and enriching the lives of children through music. By the time she left The Polo Lounge in 2013, Oksana Management Group, Inc. (OMG) had been in operation for three years. Her first business, OMG, provides online and in-person private lessons and after-school enrichment programs for music lessons, foreign languages, and academic tutoring for K-12. My very first book was “The A to Zs of Fighting Boredom” which I wrote when I was 8 years old. My second book, “Life of the Time Cat: Rise of Catastrophyre” is available for purchase! “Warning of the Ultimate Element” is the second book of the Life of the Time Cat series and is available as well.

I am just a regular kid, the son of California-based pianist, composer, and entrepreneur Oksana® Kolesnikova and a student at Tesoro del Valle Elementary School. I like to help other children make their free time more productive with my books while using proceeds from the sale of them to contribute to welfare organizations, as well as funding my own college education and helping with my school’s fundraisers.
